I was made aware by my college, the CMTO, that registered massage therapists were able to receive the Pfizer vaccine. To my surprise, I received a notification two weeks later. I didn’t think it would come so soon, based on the status of the role out at that time. I was vaccinated at the MARS building at the corner of Dundas and University. Each shot had an expiration time on it, mine was at 4:57pm if I remember correctly, it was around 12:15pm. After the required 15 minute wait time, I had no side effects and headed out. The whole procedure took around 25 minutes and everyone was very friendly. The following day I had some arm soreness and that was about it.

I know there are other professions who are exposed daily who are not currently eligible to receive their vaccines yet. I hope these professionals get prioritized and this role out gets up to speed ASAP!
